Migros and OMO came together for the Refilling Unit, which prevents new plastic production and aims to reduce the amount of plastic waste. With the unit installed for a pilot study in the AtaÅŸehir MMM Migros store, which reduces the need for new plastic, consumers can fill the empty OMO Liquid Detergent bottles they bring with them; buys products at more affordable prices. Thanks to the pilot application, it is aimed to reduce the annual amount of plastic waste generated due to detergent sales.
After the pilot study was successful, the study was implemented in a few more Migros stores in Izmir, Ankara and Istanbul as of January.
